How it works
Visual CPIP has been built on the proven platform that Visual FAIR and Visual PPAP utilises.
You’re able to link all the design requirements via an electronically ballooned drawing to a form such as the Control Plan or Inspection Plan. This speeds up the process dramatically.
Visual CPIP offers a unique module that allows the use of a table displaying all the parameters you would need when creating Control Plans. It allows the user to assign several parameters associated to the feature, then with a double left mouse click – you can very quickly and efficiently assign those parameters to that feature. You no longer have to assign parameters individually per feature number on the marked up drawing.
Visual CPIP works in the same way as Visual FAIR and Visual PPAP by linking design requirement via an electronically ballooned drawing to a form such as AS9102 form 3 or CFG-1003 PPAP Dimensional. Those requirements can be captured or data mined utilizing Optical Character Recognition (OCR). This speeds up the process dramatically and Visual FAIR has a built in mistake proofing process to handle the data.
Visual CPIP also allows you to manage material & process specifications and their related customer approved suppliers. Each process and material will have a customer requirement such as a certificate of conformance or a data card etc. or even multiple requirements. The related material & process information populates AS9102 form 2 or CFG-1004.
Visual CPIP has a current Report status report built in and this allows users and management alike to see exactly what stage a Report is at. Each customer specific contractual and or global requirements can also be set, captured and status displayed in this way.
Visual CPIP also takes advantage of data created on your other business systems for example ERP might have a Bill of Materials BOM. Utilizing our Visual BOM app you can import a bill of materials data from almost any ERP/MRP system. Another example of this would be to import data from your CMM using our Visual CMM app.
The same technique can be employed to populate any form not just specific AS9102 or ISO / TS 16949. This is where Visual CPIP really stands out - For example internal control plans, process verification check sheet, inspection method sheets etc. You can associate operation numbers and measurement equipment for each characteristic.
